1st gen taco suspension on 3rd gen?

So i've been itching to replace my suspension that is worn out, but are cheap(not me but the wife's allowance makes me be)

Someone locally is selling 04 Tacoma sr5 suspension and UCA's (blisten shocks) for super cheap.

Are these going to fit with minor modification or waste of time?

Rear shocks won't. Front stuff will. You will need to rotate the top mount on the coilover 90 degrees to fit on the 3rd gen though.

Honestly though, they all look pretty beat. I would save up for some newer stuff and do it once. Also, no point in swapping the UCA's. You aren't really gaining anything by doing so.

They are from an 04 mine are from an 97 with 160k, so they are marginally better.

The investment is like 20 dollars and my time. Do they add lift anything like that to be concerned about? Is this just a waste of time?

Less time sure but could have been beat on way harder. Just saying they are newer doesnt mean they are better.

You may see an increase in height. You could also see less height. The Taco stuff is about the same as the 3rd gen stuff.
