Camry or corolla are the obvious choices because they are basic simple toyotas and run forever.

Other cars that fall into the same category for stacking up miles with basic maintenance: any 4cyl honda/acura built from 1984 onward. Any v6 honda with a manual transmission.

The Miata IMO
We've had three of them, two second gen. and one third gen. A blast to drive, plenty of aftermarket parts, devoted fan base, vg mpg and did I mention a blast to drive?

I put 200k miles on a Pontiac Sunfire that never seen a shop, literally just gas and oil and a set of brake pads. Hated it with a passion due to being incredibly ugly and slow but was a good college car. Laid to rest at a junk yard due to rust, probably because I also never washed it.
