Ko2's will not balance!!!

I've balanced these things about 6 times in the last 2 months trying different places and 2 places used the road force machine. The behavior in the vibration at 70 changes every time they get re-balanced but is always there. The smoother the surface the more it shakes and shimmies. Almost feels like a drive line vibration but it's not. The only place I haven't tried yet is Toyota. Could they perhaps fix this problem? Also anyone else have issues with balancing the ko2's?

Where ever you bought them should balance or warranty them. plain and simple. I love my KO2s so far.

I have to say, all of my BFG tires never balanced well. They would in the beginning but would get progressively worse until they were a mess towards the end of their life. This made me start to look at other tires and I started to use Toyo. Since, I have had several ATII's and now I amusing the MT's. All have been outstanding with outstanding wear and they keep their balance.

It's funny cuz I've had two sets of tires before these and never had issues.... So yes the ko2s have a balancing problem.

It's the tires, the wheels, the installer, or all three.

This is why I buy tires from a brick and mortar store, that has a Hunter GSP 9700 balancer, and competent Techs that know how to use it. I also ask if they would allow me to use their machine to find a bad tire or wheel, if their Techs prove to not be competent to do so.

I've seen lots of incompetent Techs, wheels with excessive run-out, and tires with poor uniformity, over the years.

Could it be possible if I had a bad wheel? My brother has a taco with the same tires and is smooth.

First of all, is the POS Hunter coming up with zeros? If all 6 times they come up with balanced tire/wheel assemblies, your vibration is somewhere else.

2nd, if you put on new tires and they "couldn't" balance them, they have a real problem. I go to at least 3 or 4 tire shops everyday, and no matter how inexperienced or ignorant the tire guy is, they always seem to know how to get it to read Zero.

I've seen guys take a Chinese built 22" wheel with 37"x 14.5" tire, also Chinese and use 14oz of weight, but they always get them to balance.

I have to wonder about that too. There are a LOT of bushings on the front end of these trucks. I am pretty sure mine would benefit from new... EVERY bushing in the front end really. It drives nice but I know it could be better. I do however plan on new poly bushings throughout the front end just to tighten things up. Just because the alignment says its good, doesnt mean its PERFECT.

Anyway I'm just going to take it to Toyota tomorrow and talk to someone about my problem. I think the spacers are increasing the sensitivity to the truck. I know these trucks front ends are notoriously sensitive.
