Yeah all my wheels were spinning at idle even with the locker on. It was like quicksand. I was immediately stuck as soon as my tow package hit

Had to cut the pinch weld and the wheel well a bit then hammer the shit out of everything else. Now the only thing that rubs is the frame at full lock or when the suspension is fully flexed offroading but very minimal. Plan on lifting and cutting some more soon but I've been lazy.

Also got the rear coils off an FJ80 for $40 so there is a start to my lift. Planning on Bilstein 5100's for a Tundra, Toytec/Eibach Front Coils and no body lift.

Alright so I did some measuring for my shocks today. I should get at least 4" more down travel than stock and be able to keep my stock up travel without running into any issues. I plan on running Bilstein 7100 12" Shocks with 255/70 Valving. They will be mounted outside the frame rails to help with dampening. I plan on getting new bump stops but not extended.
I'm just worried that 255/75 valving may be too much. Trying to find info on here isn't easy on that subject

I noticed I was rubbing my UCA pretty much any time I was turning or when my front was close to full droop. I decided to shave them down about 3/4" and weld 3/16" plate where I shaved to brace it. It still rubs with the wheels turned at full droop but It doesn't rub when driving around town. I may shave them down even further so they don't rub at all but I was worried about the strength of the control arm if I shaved too much off. I forgot to take pics until after I finished welding but I managed to snap a few shots.
After welding
Finished grinding

Had nothing to do yesterday afternoon so I took the family up to Big Bear on some offroad trails. Started in angelus oaks and took 1N54 (Clarks Grade) up to the trails on the south side of Big Bear lake then had dinner while we were up there. Found a couple spots to flex on.
Also I noticed my CV boots are torn so I ordered 2 new CV axles and new boots to fix the old ones and use them as trail spares. I also ordered the cheapest Monroe LC80 rear shocks I could find. They should be around $30 with my brothers discount (he is the purchasing manager for star auto parts). I plan on using them just for this weekend just to get my rear lift installed while I wait for my Bilstein 7100's to get delivered. My brother, dad, a few friends and myself plan on doing Dishpan Springs and Gold Mountain this Sunday and I don't want to do it with stock rear suspension especially loaded with tools and a cooler. If anyone wants to join feel free to come with. We gotta show these jeep guys that 4Runners are badass too

Today I replaced both of the front CV axles since the boots were leaking. I plan on cleaning and replacing the boots and using them as trail spares. Was pretty easy with this write up http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/maintenance/cv_axle/ . Took about an hour and a half to do both sides. Next time will be a lot faster since I'll know how to do it already.
I also got some Monroe LC80 shocks and LC coils installed today. The shocks are a little stiffer than I wanted but these are only temporary for this weekend until my 7100's come in. Hopefully I can install everything next weekend. I plan on trying to sell them once I get the new shocks so if anyone wants to buy almost new shocks make me an offer.
The rear sits quite a bit higher than the front so I'll probably raise the front up to the second perch and get it all aligned Friday. The alignment is pretty bad after the lift install and since I'm not running any sway bars right now it gets a little sketchy on the freeway.

I have the factory E-Locker in the rear and I was thinking about regearing to 4.88 but I don't know if I can use new gears and keep my stock E-Locker setup. Would I need an aftermarket locker or can I just regear with the stock E-Locker? I tried searching for this but haven't found anything

Nice looking rig!
Yea you can re gear the factory E-locker. I've done it and my buddy just got done doing it. I believe it uses the same ring gear as a v-6 third. Whoever sets up your gears for you will know exactly what you need.
