These are really nice looking! Almost like the 06-09 4Runner rears with the switch to LED's. Definitely would rather do this than a 'euro' style. I like it!

I wasn't planning on the ones from Eagle Eyes, my buddy from instagram is making me a pair of retrofits.

May be a while, rear bumper is first! That's going to be a steep investment.

How do you like the black on the sides of the tail lights!?
I know there is also a version that are clear like the OEM style...
Do you prefer the black on the sides ??
Have you seen the OEM clear type LED tails???

I have, I personally i like the black on the side because I'm going for a black and sliver two tone build and I don't want to have to tint my taillights because I like them as bright as possible.

I just did this to mine but now getting the ABS light on the dash. Did some research and found out need a load resistor for the LED brake lights since they're drawing less current and causing ECU to think you have a light bulb out. Did the OP run into the same problem by any chance? Anyway, I ordered 2 sets just in case , a dual 25W and dual 50W load resistors, hope this will resolve the ABS issue since this also disables the cruise control and I have a long trip coming up in a couple of weeks!
Edit: I just found out my 3rd brake light was not working, this coincided with me putting in the new LED tail-lights... I just ordered a couple of #921 on Amazon and will replace it...

For those of you running these tail lights...how are they holding up long term? Any issues to speak of? Thanks in advance.

I've had a set for about 7 or 8 months. They work and look great. Highly recommend. I would also recommend you run a little bead of Silicone or some sort of sealant around the lens to backing seam, one of mine gets condensation after heavy rain. Other than that, I love them and the brightness is perfect, I got just the red ones, thought they looked more like a factory high end piece.

@ Renegade_Medic
thanks for posting this!! Been hoping to see the red ones on someone's 4Runner. Looks really good
Any options out there on how these would compare to factory 01-02 with LED bulbs?
