Hey folks. I've got a '97 stereo with a single disc player. I'm looking to keep my OEM CD player and add an aux. I'm not looking to go the Scion route.
Just ordered a USA-SPEC DF TOY and PA-15 TOY (got both of em on eBay for less than $30 total). From what I know the DF TOY only works with the 6 CD changer 4Runners. I'm wondering if anyone knows the model number of the stereo's compatible with the DF TOY, it just says 98-2002. I can't find it anywhere. I don't have a JBL system, but am wondering if it's still possible to use a JBL system in my vehicle and if it would be plug and play?
In terms of the PA-15 TOY I see that it's compatible with Highlander and Rav 4 Stereos from around that time. Anyone know of models of Highlander or Rav 4 stereos that would fit into a 3rd gen? Going to do some digging at the junk yard if that's possible. Really tough to find threads about putting other OEM stereo's from other Totoya vehicles of that time.
PA15-TOY
