Any difference in rear axle shafts between e-locker/non locker?
The WiFi is down, suck it comcast. My phone isn't opening exploded views so quick question.
I need wheel bearings for the rear. I actually just ordered some yesterday. I can get a non locker rear end with new bearings, seals, and drum brakes for $100.
Timken bearings. However I don't have to mess with pressing them off and on. Plus free brakes. Is there any difference in spline count or length? I know they have different carrier bearings so I wasn't sure past that.
Thanks for the help. Just figure I'll work smarter not harder if possible here.
there is a diference between tacoma and 4runner axles shafts though, well its actually the backing plate, ebrake bracket locations changes from the 2 either that that, its the same.
Just got home with it. New Timken bearings, seals (which I don't think I can use), rebuilt 4:10 carrier and all hard lines and such for $80.
A machine shop around here wanted that just to press bearings on. So paying that for something I can probably break even on seemed like a no brainer to me. I'll go get some OEM inner/outer seals and be done with it.
