2001 4wd Master cylinder swap?

Hello, I am fairly new to the forum. But, I have been lurking for a long time. I have searched and searched but I could not find the answer.

Anyways, I am wondering if it is possible to swap out the 2001 master cylinder with all the VSC/TRAC/ABS craziness to a non-VSC/TRAC/ABS master cylinder. Preferably a larger master cylinder as well because I plan to do the 231mm break upgrade and I feel that the 3rd gen master cylinder is weak sauce to begin with.

What I suspect I would have to do is pull out all the ABS components, as I don't want them anyways. That would make my speedometer nonfunctional since the speed sensor IS the ABS sensor, and to remedy that, I'd get a tranny VSS. Then rip out the 2001 VSC/TRAC/ABS master cylinder and ECU and swap in another master cylinder and ECU.

Am I going about this totally wrong and am stuck with the $1000 master cylinder if it ever decides to take a hike down broken Lane?

Perhaps I'm wrong yet never heard of anyone saying the 3rd gems master cylinder is weak. Many do the TBU yet never heard of one of them also "upgrading" the brakes' mc.

Hmm, perhaps I'd be fine with using a 3rd gen break MC. But just not the one from 01-02 models.
