Are said RCI skids free? Because that's the only way I could afford them

Not free, but I will be hosting another Group Buy for them in Oct/Nov. Since you already know how dependable those stock skids are you should start saving your penny's.

I am definitely looking for other options asap because my current skid could only take 3 of the 5 or 6 bolts because it's so bent up now. Sadly I can not do anything until I find a job up here In Fort Collins.

First thing I thought when looking through your pics was "Way to carry the Toyota flag kid!"
Beautiful photos, and that's the way family time should be done. Good work.

Had a busy friday night! I added ditch light brackets from SRQ Fabrications and some light pods off amazon. I also replaced my PIAAs with some Led Pods and Amber lenses. Lastly I spent 4 hours taking off the old plasti dip and then painted the wheels a nice Metallic Bronze from Rustoleum.
Heres the result!! And yes I also took my RTT off for the winter!

Longest 3 weeks of my life!!
Lower Control Arm Bushing, if you don't like wanting to kill yourself and wanting to sell your 4runner I highly recommend buying new lower control arms. This was a HASTLE, a PITA, and frankly just stupid. We first pulled every thing off to free the conrol arm so we could pull it out. That was a piece of cake. Then we pulled the cam bolts with no issues. The bushings were seized! had to cut those out on all 4 bushings and then free the arms.
Here is everything we cut and pulled out of the arms.

On one side we had to cut the lower shock bolt because it was seized, no big deal! Odered a new bushing from Toytec.

Here it is with no arms....

Once the arms were out we did a combination of burning the bushings and also pressed out what we could. That wasn't awful. After doing this we rendered the Energy Suspension bushings useless so I returned those and ordered the Whiteline bushings that are labeled for the hilux and Fj's or something like that, they fit!. We had to remove the old outer sleeve using the cutting method on the inside!

Whiteline bushings went in super smooth!!

Then we had to put it all back together!!

Also i do realize in this picture the wrong arm is in, just through it in to make sure it fit then realised it was on the wrong side LOL
Also got new OEM Lower Ball Joints!

Well after 3 weeks and way to much time wasted waiting on parts to show up and then be returned because they were wrong and then recieving 1 of only 2 things than having to pay over night shipping on the 2nd thing.... Here it is outside the allignment shop looking like a pigeon toed freak....

Then After allignment!!!

My allignment was free because Les Schwab could not get it perfect, they said my caster was maxed and couldnt quite get to the green, I dont really know what that means but im guessing more money and maybe new upper control arms... IDK though. It drives straight tho it pulls a little to the right. They said it wont bother the tire wear at all. Les Schwab really does have great Customer service. Giving me an allignment for free was overkill but Im extremely pleased!!!. Now hoping they hold up!

Reasons I bought all new OEM arms. But glad to see you got it done.
Nice that they gave you the alignment for free because it's just about impossible to get the caster into the green with a lift like yours. Basically more caster will push your wheel forward in the wheel well away from the firewall. More clearance for bigger tires and it will track better usually on the interstate, but it's not a tire wearing issue.

The Control arms are starting to settle and feel much nicer, the poly bushings are definitely stiffer and make for a bumpier ride but feel firm and definitely improved the handling in the highway, much more steady! I still have a gnarly clunk which I'm assuming is my rear right wheel bearing/axle bearing. It's an odd sound and hard to pinpoint but I'm going to go to a Toyota dealership to diagnose and hopefully replace over thanks giving! Also some glamour shots of the pretty nightmare!

Another update! Fun stufff.... I mean really fun stuff. Hopefully have the axle shaft replaced early on during break.
Lifted up the truck to track down my wobbly passenger rear wheel. I believe it's a bent axle shaft but it's not leaking nor does the bearing make noise which I find odd.
Toyota dealership told me all my i joints were shot.... they were fine.... of course... back to oriellys to return all 3 new ones.
This happened again.....

That sucks about the shock. Isn't that the second time that has happened to your Fox shocks? If I were you, I would just pick up a pair of LC Tokico black shocks and call her done. They are cheap enough to try out, and if you don't like them, you can try something else and sell them for little if any loss. Or, it might be useful to have as a back up option for how often the Foxes are breaking. Still digging your build though.
