I'm going to re read this build thread. I'm sure there's a treasure trove of info in it. I re-read Octane Junkies build thread this week, and I had forgotten some of the comments he and Habenro had made around their regearing experience.

I run a spare in the back of the truck! It's absolutely terrible for space efficiency but I much prefer not having a swing out, I ran one for years but it was getting hung up on everything.
The mount is from Bell Fabrication and it works awesome.

Alex and his rig are an OG in this community in my mind. His build thread is one that makes me glad this forum still exists and is still active at all. So much helpful info here. I know he has other fun vehicles, but it's refreshing how long folks can keep these old gutless 4Runners modded how they want for so many years. Really excited to see what he has in store for it this winter...

Thanks, dude! I am super excited for what's to come to say the least. I'll leave a hint for you.
Lastly, I never posted this but switched to an SPOD System for all my 12v management. I love the 6 Gang Source LT from them.

Thanks for sharing the photo of your cargo and spare tire setup. Pretty cool.
I'm in the trunk so often, I'm a little concerned how much of a hassle the swing out might be. I find your perspective interesting as you have obviously ran both setups.
Thank you for sharing again!

3 Link / Coilovers Under the Tub 3rd Gen 4R
Well, I left that hint above and have started the project now that I have a little bit of time to work on the 4Runner.
I am installing a Freelgood Performance LT3 3 Link Kit, 4Wheel Underground Underbed Coilover Mounts, King 2.5x12" Coilovers, and Icon 2x2.5" Hydro Bumps.
With that, I am also trussing the rear axle so it doesn't turn into a smiley face with the increased capability of the rear suspension. I'm using a top truss from Ruffstuff for a Ford 9" and modifying it.
Here is the progress so far! A lot of cutting, grinding, measuring, and more measuring.

Looking forward to hearing how the SC effected your high altitude drivability over, lets say Vail Pass or the tunnels on I-70.
Maybe I missed it but how many miles were on your engine when you installed it?
I'm on the Front Range too and am looking at the Magnuson.

I thought for sure those Kings were for a 3 linked front, but this is cool too.
I'm real interested to see how this thing does with that new setup. Post more pics.

The truck was at 230k when I threw on the Supercharger. Once I get my AFR's in check I think it will be night and day difference on the passes. I have driven down to Telluride and up and over Monarch and it's night and day even not running as well as it could.

Read through the whole build thread. Badass build and super cool to see the early beginnings of Sherpa and where it's at now.
New rear setup looks gnarly!

Love to see the truss! I am on step 1 of doing my own trussed rear axle! I got the 4 crawler shave kit installed. I had the same idea as you to buy a truss and modify it. Someone else had pointed me in the direction of the Ford 9 Inch truss as a good option. This just sealed it for me! I was hoping SOMEONE out there had done it.
Any more close up or in progress pics of the truss fit up?

I'll get some more tonight when I work on it. Its a little wide and will take a little bit to form it some more for good welding but overall as a top truss itll be perfect. The Toyota Back truss from them also works well with minor modification around the pumpkin.

Just noticed that you're the owner of Sherpa- I was at the office yesterday picking up a Matterhorn wind deflector & a cross bar to add to my Antero rack....
I'll add that to my build thread when I complete it.

Awesome! Appreciate you coming by and picking up some products! I hope the wind deflector project goes well for the Antero!
