8 Years of Ownership: Maintenance to keep going?
T4R Community,
I've owned my 1996 4Runner SR5 3.4l 4x4 5-speed for almost 8 years and nearly 70,000 miles.
I'm currently sitting at 194,000 miles and have a few things getting done this week. Is there anything else that I should be considering to keep things moving smoothly?
Getting done this week:
- Timing belt/water pump/tensioner pulley
- Clutch master cylinder [clutch pedal isn’t returning from the floor]
- manual transmission fluid change
- front + rear diff fluid change
- transfer case fluid change
- radiator flush
Up to this point, I've done routine oil changes, plugs, wires, tires, pads, rotors, calipers, batteries, and filters.
Anything I'm blatantly missing and continue to roll the dice with?
Ball joints? [not sure how to tell]
Valve cover gaskets? [I don't burn oil and just recently tightened them]
Not trying to spend money I don't need to, but open to suggestions while my wallet and work bay are open.
Thanks all-
S
