Rear shock/spring recommendations please!

There used to be a sticky about lift information, but I can't seem to find it anymore?

I currently have a spacer lift in the rear (don't judge me, not my proudest decision) and it's definitely sagging more and more (I've got the 3" revtek spacers in the front). I am anxious to replace the springs and spacers in the rear. However, I have a hitch hauler for my dirtbike, and I'd like something that won't sag or ride low with an extra 250lbs hanging off the back of it.

I've been looking at the 891 springs, but I've read that those tend to sag a bit after a while? Can anyone confirm or deny that? And what shocks would you recommend pairing up with those springs? Or would you recommend a different setup all together?

Links to whatever you propose would be much much much appreciated. Thanks for the help guys.

Thanks for the link! I'm still curious what other peoples experience with the 891 coils have been like, and what shocks I should pair them up with for hauling a dirtbike on the back?

I thought about a hitch carrier at first when I was looking to travel with my motorcycle. But, knowing I'd also be carrying a ton of other gear and tools in the back of the truck, I thought it would better to keep all that extra weight off my rear suspension and buy myself a small motorcycle trailer instead.

I found a trailer called, "Trailer in a Bag". It's a cool set-up that pieces together with channel iron so it's easy to store in your garage or wherever. The only problem is the guy that owned the company passed away and I don't know if anyone else picked up the torch and is making them again. But, you could probably find one used on Craigslist like I did. Or, any good modification/welder type could easily copy the design. I'll be assembling mine today for a trip on taking this week. I'll take a pic and post it when I'm done.

I don't have experience with the 891s but I have 890s with Rough Country N2.0 shocks and they're fantastic. If the 891s hold up as well as the 890s do, then I'd recommend them

Have any of you tried the air lift kit? I know a few people that have used them on their full-sized trucks for hauling and have nothing but great things to say about them. I wondering if that might be a better option for the 4runner as well, even though I'd have to install the kit along with new springs and shocks.

I have the air lift bags in my 906 springs and I love them. They hold weight quite well and doesn't seem to effect flex too much off-road when aired up. It's nice to load the 4runner heavy and virtually no sag at all.

Im a fan of LC coils and LC Tokico shocks. If I was going to put that much weight into the back or on the hitch I would throw a set of air bags in the coils. This way you get best of all worlds. Nice OEM ride. Coils that out flex most others. They wont sag with minimal weight and with lots of weight you can add air bags to compensate.

Did that coil/shock combo on my last rig and it was great!

How ever I did 890's and LC shocks from O'Reillys on my current rig and they feel TO ME a great match.

Here's some pics of the Trailer in a Bag just to give you another option instead of putting all the weight on your suspension.

I ran the 890's with Bilstein 5150's for two years and just switched to 891's with the same shocks thanks to the added weight of a tire carrier and aux tank. I have to say I love them. The 890's were too bouncy especially under load. I have heard good things about the LC coils with Tokico's as well.
