AZBubs poor man build and budget Adventures.
Aisin fan clutch, Toyota upper and lower radiator hoses and Champion radiator arrived. All three are original at 390k+ miles. Timing belt, water pump and T stat were replaced not long ago with all Toyota crap.
I had ordered the Spectra OEM radiator cause it appeared to get good reviews overall. I changed my mind on it after I placed the order unfortunately. Plus when it arrived it was hanging out of the box so it is going back.
Noticed my coolant temps running a little high. AC is inconsistent. Clutch had a little wobble in it and barely moves at all if I spin by hand.

Champion radiator went in easy. I did it have to do anything other than cut off the stupid hang things on the radiator. No enlarging any holes or anything and so many have reported.
I did have to use longer bolts for the fan shroud and do a little trimming to make the shroud fit flush to the radiator.
So before installing a new fan clutch and radiator my normal operating temp (in AZ heat) was 201 for Transmission and 215 for the engine .
This is where i’m at now... It was about 110 out and i drove for an hour, including stop and go.

You got the engine running 100% normal temps with 110*F ambient air - I'd call that a win!

I like “normal”. It was the hottest day of the week. The rest of the week is a cool 103-107.

What do you use to monitor your temps/gas mileage?

Well it’s been a long time since I’ve updated this. Been super focused with work and other projects.
Scored an awesome deal on a pre owned and barely used ARB 6.5 foot awning. Now I can throw out the stupid beach umbrella we have used over the years.
And this........the bumpers “should” show up today. 4xinnovations.

Nice score on the awning. Nice to have a handy-dandy sun and rain shelter.
I drove up to 4xI, met the guys, and got a quick tour of the place, real nice people. They were busy but still made time for me.
Several times have done and will do business with them again, good choice, imo.

I just realized I didn’t post the front end refresh I did last month. I went with JBA UCAs for their strength. All Toyota OEM parts of course. It’s what you learn when you been around the forums a while.
