how to remove left and right internal trim pieces in the rear?

Hi Folks

Has anyone got/done a how to to remove the 2 big pieces of trim in the rear of the surf/4runner? I need to get at the body mount bolts and it's proving difficult. I'd also like to do the storage cubby enlargement mod too one day. How do I do it without breaking stuff!! Do they come off from the top down or bottom up? (after removing the light surround trim and the bottom long trim).

THanks

Matt

Once u remove the trim piece around the rear door u should just be able to pry loose most of the rear parts. Slow and easy should get it done pretty smoothly

remove the screws from the privacy cover mounts any screws you see for hooks ect. then just pop it out gently... as the others said it's almost all just snap in back there.

Remove screws holding the cargo cover on.
Remove lower sill piece in the rear for the carpeting and remove the one crew in the lower corner.
Remove the top piece with the cargo light in it to get to a screw holding the top corner in.
Have to remove the trim piece the rear seatbelt goes through which means you have to remove the rear door sill pieces and unfasten. This piece just prys up. Then unfasten the body mount for the rear seatbelt.
At this point, starting back to front, carefully pry out the main trim piece. Those plastic pry bar sets they sell at the auto store are invaluable for this.
Once its loose, you just have to work the seat belt end through the slot and remove the piece.
Your done!
