Warm driver seat.. I do not have heated seats?

Just wanted to see if anyone else has ever had this strange problem.. Just got my 02 4runner last week.. I've notice since i bought it that when i drive it the drivers seat gets very warm around my lower back... I'm pretty sure i DONT have heated seats.. I see no switches for them anywhere?? Why is my seat getting warm???

That is indeed a strange issue, not to be a jerk, but could it just be body heat. Perhaps air travels around you but not your lower back, so it feels warmer, and the leather seats will get warm, I switched from cloth to leather in my 00 and the leather warmed up after I drove for a while, the cloth doesn't seem to so much, maybe it breathes better.

Leather definitely makes the back warmer, you just need to crank up the a/c to make the rest of your body cooler. When you start shivering, your lower back won't concern you any more. By the way, I was riding in my fathers' tundra yesterday and it has leather. I don't think i've ever had my back sweat that bad from a car seat. Makes me wonder if ford is going to sell the patent for air conditioned seats any time soon.

Yeah my last car had heated leather seats.... I think there is just a little extra heat comming from the floor of the 4runner... I've gotten use to it since i have had it now a week...

SWAS (SWeaty A$$ Syndrome) and lower back heat is probably the culprit. I have the same problem with my cloth seats even with my amp underneath my drivers seat
