Exclamation t4r struggling to start

:awais: ok so its somewhat been like this for a while. i got a new optima battery almost about a year ago. its been really well after about the first couple months i had it. now i know optima batteries run small. there was one time when i drove it that i noticed a noise under the hood. after my drive it was the optima battery that fell over and the ground wire snapped off from the negative port wire. i did fix the problem so the battery would stay in place. it starts out fine when i first start the car but if i go to run a quick errand or drop by a friends house for a couple mins and i try to start the car it struggles... sometimes it sounds like it started fine but it turns off again... so what i would do is either wait a couple seconds to start it or rev it up while it starts... and that usually works. but i dont wanna have to go through all that trouble just to start my car... it seems like i have to wait a while for everything to charge up for it to have a smooth start again. could it possibly be the battery or something else? maybe the starter or the alternator? or maybe its the ground that snapped off... please help me out!!

did you fix the ground wire? if you dont have a good ground, that would be a big problem. if its fine, check the battery voltage. maybe the alt. is not properly charging the battery. it could also be the starter, its hard to tell.

i have no idea what your talking about.... i havent grounded anything. the ground that was already connected to the negative port of the battery snapped off... could it be that i need to re-wire that ground? would i need a new grounding kit?
