CB setup help

I want to install a cb in the runner for trail runs. I think I have it all figured out except I want a folding mount hooked to my wmw roof rack. I can't seem to find anything.

If I wanted to be able to fold mine on a rack I'd mount it as close as possible to the roof with a small diameter spring and put a hook forward of it to hook it under just like you hook the flag under the handlebars to haul a quad around.

4Ripcord did something similar. Although his was motorized. Even more badass. Made me want to do something like it when I eventually get a cb. Here it is in his build thread

Also, I just did a quick Google search and found this. Now you have me curious for when the time comes
http://www.diamondantenna.net/k540.html

That company makes a lot of different mounts too. But something like that might work.

Bingo, thanks. I had been looking at the motorized one, but didn't want another electronic .

Comet also makes one, its what I had for my truck years ago. Worked well for smaller antennas (ham stuff), but I don't know if it would hold up to something like a 3 or 4 foot firestik.

Nice part of these mounts are that I could loosen it without even getting out of my truck, had the antenna just slightly behind the door mounted on the gutter. Great for getting into buildings!
