Roof rack height problem, to remove or not

I love my roof rack, I think it adds so much to the look of 4Runners. However, I'm lifting my 4Runner soon and when I do I dont believe it will fit in my parking garage anymore... I'm lifting no matter what, so the question is to take it off and have no roof rack or bite the bullet and have to park in the separate parking lot across the street and add a 1/2 mile to my walk in the morning... any pics of roof rackless 3rd gens will be appreciated

I am in the same boat. Parking structure at work kinda low. Is there an outdoor lot adjacent to the indoor?

Remove it and put it on whenever you take a trip or need it. I know it looks cool but.....

If I were in your shoes I would remove it. I wouldn't walk my lazy ass half a mile twice a day just to get to my vehicle... I drive to my mail box 80 steps away.

I'm not sure how your parking areas work, but my old apartment complex had higher clearance spots depending on where you parked. But if the entry is the issue... well, maybe that won't work.

The rack comes off very easy in one piece. About 12 or so torx heads and that's it. You'll need to seal up the holes of course with a proper bolt and silicone or something similar..... Or you could just take the caps of the rear rails and slide the tall cross members out and install later if you need them. About a 10 minute job.
