any 3rd gens with over million miles?

million mile vehicles are pretty rare. take combination of proper maintenance and luck

Pretty sure I saw someone on here with over 600K but anyone over a million?

I remember the tundra from last year that broke a million miles and guy got a free truck. same with a honda accord owner

so any million mile, with original engine and tranny, 4runners?

and to the really high mile guys on here, talking 500K+ miles, have you reached out to toyota? I bet they would love to hear about it

What Is a Million-Mile Toyota Tundra Worth? | Toyota

cool article about the truck. said they will spend months tearing truck down to see why lasted so long and then apply what they learn to future trucks

I think I'm probably slightly above average for 3rd gen mileage around here, but I'm only just shy of 270,000 miles. I've seen several 300,000+ mile examples on this forum... but I wonder how many other examples are out there "in the wild"? I know of another 4Runner local to me that's daily driven by a lady and it has almost 450,000'ish miles on the original everything (EVERYTHING!).

My theory on that guy's Tundra is they were all highway miles considering he said it was his traveling work truck.

Is it still impressive? yes absolutely-- But in my book, he drove that thing 500,000 miles, not a million.

All cars are 2x better at everything on the highway.

Anyone agree with me or just think I'm insane?

he def was, I did math and he was around 90k-100K per year

certainly an easier life but a million miles is still quite impressive

my sister drives over 100K miles and has a chevy and has replaced the transmission already at 275K miles or so

Yeah well, she should be happy. Chevy's and the rest of American cars reaching 275k is like a Unicorn. Hell, there are 3rd gens in here where the Auto tranny dies before 200k.

Im at 274k and my trans just went out. So Im replacing that this weekend. Its my hunting/fishing/dog rig, so it goes on nothing but road trips. Probably will keep it forever if I can.

I saw in another story that the owner was a courier for an oil company who's job was to deliver heavy/irregular equipment wherever need be; thus the huge number of highway miles in such a short time. It also means that a good portion of those miles may have been while towing.

Not even close to a million but these were not all freeway miles either. In fact, this truck has probably seen less than 25,000 freeway miles in its entire life. Previous owner only drove locally and does not like driving on the freeway (PO is an in-law).

420,000 miles and it was mostly stop and go city driving. Engine and tranny are original and never rebuilt.

We just sold our 2011 Chevrolet Duramax and it had 523k. Original engine and transmission. It was a great truck that I used as a transporter for the past 3 years. I averaged 11,000 a month pulling a 20' Big Tex single car trailer everyday.

Our '98 that we just purchased has 200k on it. Hard to find a 3rd or 2nd gen with less than 175k here in the Phoenix area.

I'm guessing those who got a new truck from the dealers/Toyota after hitting 1 mil+ are those who've had their trucks exclusively dealer serviced. Us DIYers don't count lol.
