Problem with back window

Surprise surprise there's a problem with the back window. My key fob is working intermittently when it doesn't work the back window won't work, with the button or the key. What could be the issue here?

Why is your FOB only working intermittently? Battery on its way out? I'd start there first.. I hate when those things don't work.
In regards to the window.. is your rear wiper correctly resting on it's peg? If I recall correctly, doesn't that thing have a sensor in it that wont allow the rear window to move if the wiper is in use (IE; not "docked")? I could be wrong.. but I thought I had read about that at some point.

I made an ass of myself a few weeks ago. Luckily I did not have an audience, or I would have been pretty embarrassed.
I lowered the rear window with the key to put something in, then got in the truck. Attempted to raise the window with the switch, but it would not move.....cursed very loudly (I hope no one heard from the parking lot).....then went back to check and was able to raise it with the key. Well, at least it's not COMPLETELY broken.
And about 2 hours later I realized I had my window locks on. Apparently it locks the rear window too. Who knew?

And yes, backwards, but there is some kind of window 'sensor'. The rear wiper and defogger won't work the with window down.

I wish the button was my issue or the wiper. The battery seems strong when it is working and it works from far away. I guess a better question is how do the fob and onboard switch interact with eachother if i understand that then i could solve the problem........ or change the battery but then I dont know the proceed to reconnect the fob.... anyone know?
