Dying at idle

So yesterday I'm sitting at a red light, and the truck dies. No chug, no odd sounds, sitting flat, not overheating, just straight up died. Started right back up, no problem. Drove home from work (30 mins) fine. Drove to work today, parked, sitting for about two minutes and it chugged and died. Started it back (to be sure it would start) and it's fine again. Better than half a tank of gas, oil and plugs changed 3,000 miles ago. I'm a single mother on a limited budget, so what's the most likely culprit? (2000 Limited 4wd, 201k miles)

Any CELs thrown? When it sits idling are the RPMs steady or moving up/down?

When the plugs were changed was the IAC and/or MAF cleaned?

No CELs. The first time it died (yesterday) no rpm change, today I didn't notice but I did feel it chugging/vibrating for maybe 5 seconds before it died. But when I restarted it, the rpms were steady.

One issue could be vacuum loss from your evaporation canister. Check the base of the evaporation canister where it is press sealed together to see if the adhesive is chipping out.

Mine did very similar issue. Mine was associated with a CEL by a buddy had a similar problem with no CEL
.

On my '02 I had an extremely low idle (like 400 rpm) and all I had to do was clean the throttle body. Before throwing parts at it, I'd clean the MAF and TB and see where that puts you.

Try tapping on the MAF with your hand (like you were knocking on a door) and see if the engine stutters at all. Sometimes if the MAF is going bad that will reveal it.
