I've always want to make these, and this thread is pointing me in that direction now. I hate threads like this.

It's just a lot easier to form than aluminum freehand without a wheel. There may not be enough of a curve there to worry about though I suppose. It'll still take some bracing or a double layer of at least .040 to keep from bending, and depending on rockwell and the struts, that may not be enough. I'd forgo struts and go with a prop rod. Simpler to design and implement.

I hope this comes to life. I'd love to see it and have some.

I'm with you on this. The struts are nice, but it's something that I would incorporate right away. We'll see where this goes. I know how much the wife loves new projects.

Gullwing Hunt
Hey Guys,
Just wondering if anybody ever found/fabbed any of these, I have been hunting for awhile now and 2 years later nobody has them still. Thanks for your help.

I agree, this would be wonderful. Especially being able to use both sides of a molle panel.

I’ve got ideas, just need the spare window sections to be able to mock up.

I popped my rear window out by mistake
It was a really hot day and I had a ton of stuff packed in the back. There was a 2x4 or something pushing against the front top corner and it just separated the adhesive. There are a couple of alignment pins but its just glued on there. Once a little bit had let go, the whole window could be popped out
I would guess if you imitated that scenario with some pressure and time that thing would separate easily.
