Not necessarily. My spindle hits my coil all the time on my 5100's w/ Toytec/Eibach coils. I guess it probably because I'm running tundra shocks, which are a little bit longer that the Tacoma/4Runner shucks. I wonder how much bigger in diameter the 6112 coils are compared to the standard coils.

Looks pretty sweet as I'm looking for a 2" lift up front. Would like 2.25" in the rear so what would be best for that with stock bumpers all around?

Yeah, ended up calling Bilstein before I install and they said that exactly. They engineered/tested those 6112's with only stock OEM control arms and they don't have any clearance issues.

will the Tundra 6112 be a bolt-on install on a 3rd gen 4Runner? If yes, will it give a 3" lift? Has anyone checked if the TRD Pro coils fit on the 6112 for additional lift?

Finally got some time to install new 6112 coilovers on my 2000 4WD 5-speed. I had been riding around on the original stock everything (180K miles) so I installed new OEM ITR, OTR, LBJ, Energy Suspension poly steering rack and end link bushings. I matched this in the rear with new 5100 shocks, OME 906 coils, and new Energy Suspension poly end link bushings. I set the 6112's at the #7/#6 height for 1.64" of lift and actually got closer to 1.75" in the front and a full 2" with the 906's in the rear. We'll see if it settles at all. I also removed the running boards so the truck has a whole new stance/look. I just got back from the alignment shop and already I'm very impressed with the ride, feeling firm and planted but soaking up bumps at speed. I'm looking forward to getting onto some trails very soon before the big Baja trip in January. Thanks a bunch to @Chas of MRT for getting these out to me as soon as they hit the shelves.

Would these be a better option for a suspension refresh over a 5100 strut and OME spring setup? I have 234K on my original suspension (no complaints about it) but am scavenging for any black friday deals.

Car is mostly a daily driver, but will see some mountains and light off roading in its lifetime. The car is at oem weight, its not loaded with armor, big wheels, etc.

Looks solid! I'm loving my 5100s all around with OME springs. Hit some wash board roads the other day and it glided right over them. Before with my OME shocks it was uncontrollable.

Looks great! Looking at the 6112's for my truck also but waiting on the 5160's to pull the trigger. Funny - I have a mica green 01 with around 180k miles too.

Anyone with a fully built truck get these yet? Wondering how they hold up with bumpers, winch, sliders, skid plates, and 35s...

I destroyed two 5100s, so I am excited by the beefier shock.

Any news on the 5160s?

I work with MRT and Bilstein closely, and looks like the word is sometime next year for 5160's. Bilstein never rush s a release of a new product, they want to make sure it is the best it can be. This means releases get pushed back

Hey d_benet,
Will you please post your center of hub to fender measurements, front & rear?
Thanks!
