OEM outer tie rods?

Hey all, I already ordered OEM inner tie rods after these sankei ones barely made it 30k miles. Luckily I got these OEM ones for about $70 from amayama, so I saved quite a bit there.

What I'm wondering is if it's really with it to get OEM outer tie rod ends. Outers aren't terrible to replace if I get something like napa with a lifetime warranty, but then again if spending a bit more means I'll get a lot more life out of them, then I'll just go OEM.

Anyway, I couldn't find much in the way of posts that were in my position, so any input welcome!

Thanks!

I need to do inner and outer tie rods, as well.. Do you have the part numbers for the ITREs handy?

I'm going OEM, that's what makes these trucks so great.

So true. People buy a toyota for reliability and then they put unreliable non OEM parts on it as replacements.

Sorry, don't have the part number handy, but it's easy enough to find. I highly recommend amayama though for the ITRs given their pricing. I'm going through camelback for the OTREs though since the price was equal.

Yeah, the OEM ITRE's are a ridiculous price. Toyota P/N is 45503-39075.

Toyota Parts Direct Online in Canada wants 230$/each for those, lol.

That's not bad. I just looked at my receipt from Amayama and they were $199 for both of them shipped from Japan. $154 for both of the parts, and then $45 for shipping.

I ordered them 8 days ago and they're leaving customs in LA now and should be to my door in another couple of days. I learned about Amayama from other threads here, so it's very real and a very good place to double-check prices at. Like I said, their pricing with the shipping didn't beat CamelBack for OTRE's, so I'm just getting the OTRE's from CamelBack.

Good luck!
