what does everyone do with their stock parts?
This may have been covered in a thread i couldnt find.
What does everyone do with the parts they take off when they do there mods from a stock 4runner? Do you keep them, sell them online, scrap them,...? Just curious what most people do.

Just depends on what part it is...

I try to give them away.
Anyone want the stock stereo out of a 2000? I don't know if it is supposed to have a separate amp or not. If it is, I don't have it.

A growing pile in the garage that needs to be addressed. Lol. The biggest parts are really only the running boards, everything else is pretty small in my pile.

I made a stool from my rear shocks, clutch, and brake rotors. I still need to get some wheels to tac on it so I can roll around on it.

Like said above, depends on the part..
If it's desirable and I don't need it, I'll sell it. Otherwise it'll go to the trash or scrap yard. I have spare (used) inner and outer tie rods, lower ball joints, completed left & right front spindles, flanged slip yoke, completed left & right rear hubs, and various other little things. I only carry the small parts with me when I'm on a wheeling trip. Having a spare tie rod, even if it's an old one, comes in more handy than you would imagine to limp off the trail. Other larger components are good to have spares b/c say If I needed to replace a front/rear wheel bearing I can have the one on my spare repaired which minimizes the downtime of my vehicle.

Before you trash a part, look on Ebay. You'll find that a lot of 3rd Gen stuff will sell, and some even sells for more than a new part (can't figure that out one but I don't complain)!

I used to throw them away. Now I keep it all. I have buddies that always need something since we have a 3rd gen crew.
