Anyone have trouble finding correct radio wiring harness?
I'm having trouble finding the correct wiring harness for my radio. I purchaced two so far and they're both wrong. The first one I got had two plugs, but my truck only has one connector. The second harness I got is one plug with RCA's on the radio side for the speakers, It fits the connector in the truck, but the wires don't match up with the wire locations in the truck. I know for sure someone in here has an aftermarket radio in their truck. Anybody know part numbers or anything?

The one with two plugs is the correct one! You just have to unplug the two wires from your AMP! The single wire you say you have is the single wire coming out of your AMP. Under your amp you have two wires that plug in that will fit into the adapter you bought with two plugs! I made this same mistake when I first installed my aftermarket deck. I'll see if I can't find the writeup i used that shows how.

If your deck has front and rearRCA outputs then you can use the harness you got with RCAs in it. Otherwise there is a small silver box behind your old radio in the dash that has 2 plugs on the bottom of it which are standard toyota plugs. You just unplug them and use the standard toyota harness to wire in.

Not really sure what you're trying to say. But it looks like you took a knife and cut the wires in random spots. Put the harness back in by connecting the matching wires, and then buy a harness to do to job correctly. Also, it seems that this is not out of a 3rd Gen 4Runner.

His is an 89 but I agree 100% with your recommendation.
x2 Reconnect the harness you cut, buy the correct harness for your radio/vehicle. If you don't know which harness to purchase you can call Crutchfield.
