Magnuson, (TRD), supercharger on sale
Heads up guys... Lowest price I could find on the supercharger was $2950. Now URD has them for almost $300 off. Anyone on the fence? They also have a Black Friday 15% off on their 7th injector kit.
I have no affiliation with URD. Just posting a heads up.

It's the entire TRD supercharger kit. The only difference is no TRD logo on the charger.

$300 off is nice and all, but if you're spending nearly $3,000 what's a measly $300??? Doesn't seem like much incentive. I can't talk too much though, cus even if it was $1,000 off I still couldn't afford it lol.

No one cares about the logo. Most dealerships would not even notice the difference. You can get the TRD supercharger decals on eBay.
262k supercharged... Outstanding!

Let the fun begin... Buying the SC is like buying a car with just AM and no AC. I've had mine for more than a year just itching to jump on the manifold. I've been painstakingly adding my "options". Definitely need deep pockets for one of these regardless of what the discount is. The only thing holding me back now is the 2.2 pulley. On back order...
Here's the rest of the story...- URD or AEM tuning
- Colder plugs
- New thermostat
- Wideband gauge with mounting option
- Fuel injectors
- Fuel pump
- Transgo kit or IPT rebuild (I'll do this after the install)
- Open the exhaust
The list goes on...Exercise extreme caution before installation...make sure everything is ready to go FIRST.
Unfortunately, a super charger is not just plug n' play. I actually have some regrets that I even entered into the SC realm. For the $700 or $900 I paid for it (I forgot) I just couldn't pass up the "deal."

All I can say is...adding the super charger, now that's a respectable commitment..!
And a wallet humper....

You can run the SC on stock pulley on high octane without any other mods. This is how the dealer installed them.

While this is probably true, would you rather run the SC in a plug and play fashion, or use it with
@ Rock_Rat
's list?
IMO, his list is the difference between doing it, and doing it right.
@ Rock_Rat
, only thing I see missing from your list is keep in mind you will have to run premium octane all the time after SC, and also the Transgo shift kit is a start, but long-term I don't think the tranny holds up to the increased power, so you'd need to beef up the internals; I think that's the IPT one you mentioned.
