LED amber daytime running lights installed

I've always liked the way the amber day time running lights look on the newer toyotas. After weeks of planning it out in my head I pulled the trigger on x2 Oznium LED bolts. I'm more than thrilled with how they turned out. I wish i had done this a long time ago.

I found a blank fuse spot under the dash that was switched on key power. I installed an add a fuse and ran the wires up front.

Pretty much. The LEDs are water tight with about a 2 foot harness on each (positive & negative wire). I bought the add-a-fuse at the parts store, ran the positive wire up front and grounded them on the body ground near the battery on the driver wheel well.

They're really bright

If you ever do a tutorial on this I would definitely be interested in learning how to do this!

What size did you use? And did you just drill through that little trim piece?

Not sure what size I used. But yeah I drilled a pilot hole then slowly went bigger till they fit. Be careful however drilling that thin peice. Its thin metal and my bit dug in and cought and bent the trim peice a little. I fixied it but it was extra time spent on the project.

Is there an amber LED replacement for the side markers to get them any brighter?

I have a 5 led amber in mine. Uses a 194 bulb but they are no where near that bright. They only can be seen when it's dark out

Nicely done.

I thought about black vinyl covering my stock corners and adding 5 cool blue versions of the led's you got on each filler bar under the headlight so it could look something similar to this:

Side note, my intention isn't to make my 4runner look like a g-wagon. i just thought the daytime led bars they had looked good under the headlights. I saw it in person the other day and it made me think of it.

I wanted to see what this looks like and thought I'd share. (well, with 9 warm LEDs, not 5 cool ones)

I also tried to emulate the early 90's Land Cruiser but it looks more like a F-150 from that era

...I'm not really a fan of either, oh well

OP - nice work. I like it
