Planning on standard length, daily driving and occasionally light off-road trails once a month or every other month. Looking towards 2.5s with or without reservoirs

Love my Fox 2.5's on my daily. Ride is great. Handling is great even with disconnected front sway bar, and it soaks up a whole lot of abuse, I've done a few decent sized jumps messing around and the front just irons it all out. I had the 5100's before and they were good, but the Fox's are a whole new level. I'm not as happy with the ICON 2.5 Piggybacks I have in the back, but they were well used before I ever got them, so you may be better off if you get new ones.

Yeah people have been telling me it's night and day coming from bilstein to fox/kings/icon/SAW. Are your fox the one with the resis or non?

All the 2.5 coilovers for our rigs are built pretty much the same and for the most part share common internals. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the major brands. Just depends what you can get for the better price.
Personally, I love my older 2.5 SAW's but since the company got bought out by AFE I probably wont buy anymore sway-a-way stuff. I'd probably go King.
Also, check out a company called ADS racing.

Bilstein has a 2.5 shock now, I'll probably switch to that when my 5110's wear out.

I upgraded from the 5100's myself to the Icon 2.5's. I have no complaints at all. I was between the King and Icon but ended up get the Icon's for almost $300 cheaper.

Hi,
are the Fox, King or ADS shocks DIY-rebuildable? Or do I have to send them to a specialty shop or their manufacturer for a rebuild? Also, are these shocks' rebuild parts available easily?
Thanks.

I believe I'm the first to run these (or at least to my knowledge) Bilstein 8125 remote Resi. The most accurate thing I can say is Holy Sh**!

Those are all rebuildable. Parts can be sourced through dealers, and you would need to find a shop to charge them with nitrogen once the rebuild is complete!

If you want to build up a good setup then FOA. You'll have to do measurements but they have some good stuff.

Um, I know some people have had success with FOA, but I know of more that tried FOA and went with King, SAW or Fox. YRMV.
