The 5100 tundra shocks. The 3" lift depends on your spring. Search and you'll find TONS of info and other possibilities as well but I have no problem with my tundra shocks with my 890/ TRD tundra spings

I too used the adjustable panhard. While it did center my rear axle, it never cured the rear "jolt" I would get hitting certain bumps, which sometimes was a little frightening. Eimkeith's bracket kit fixed that problem and I was able to use a stock panhard.

Cool. I have his brackets, just waiting for a friend to weld them on for me.

Is there any difference in ride quality between the Tundra rears (24-100144) and the LC/4th Gen rears (33-187174), or generally any advantages of one over the other? I'm curious if they're noticeably stiffer or not, and trying to figure what to go with for +3in.
I asked SS and all they could tell me is they chose the rear LC shocks for "better articulation with similar valving" and I'm wondering how true this is. Makes sense as they all weigh roughly the same (not that close but just about within the 500lb range.) Just seems kinda weird to run 2 different sets of shocks.
Sorry for reviving an old thread, but it seemed like a better idea than making yet another

I have tundra 5100 rears in mine and they’re way too soft, especially now that I have a rear bumper with swingout & 33” spare tire on it.
Even before that though I got a ton of bounce on the trails, don’t recommend

Thank you, that's very helpful and the exact reason I was contemplating the LC/4th gen shocks (also plan to get a swingout bumper, myself). What coils do you run? I'm thinking 891s

I have 891’s along with Firestone airbags. I have a pair of black Tokico LC shocks that just came in a few days ago that I’m ready to swap in.
Also considering going to 861’s because even with the airbags at 20 psi I was still getting some sag when loaded with camping gear & bicycles on the 891’s
I do wanna try the LC shock + 891 combo first though to see how it rides before I switch to 861

Do report back, would love to hear how they feel, especially with LT/E rated tires. Really trying to be cautious as to not inadvertently make my car stiff as a board

Put them on today - first of all F**K Toyota engineers for making the shock mounts so goddamn hard to get to. 2nd - F**K bilstein for making the 5100 without a body on the upper portion so there’s no way to grip it.
Anyway - I only got to drive it for 2 miles, but I can already tell they do WAY better at keeping the rear suspension under control. Will report back as far as overall ride quality goes.

Sounding good.
Suppose now would be a good time to ask, you notice any sagging with the 891s? I totally forgot that used to be a common complaint and wouldn't mind hearing someone's take on it that will have a very similar set up to mine (thankfully havent pulled the trigger yet, trying to recoup everything after putting it off for a month)

Yes I mentioned earlier, I think I’m at the weight limit for 891’s. With the bumper + swingout, bikes + rack (85 lbs or so) + about 150 lbs of tools it does sag, even with airbags at 30+ psi
If you’re not planning to carry all that around then maybe you’d be good. I’ll probably go either 861 or LC 8 wrap with my airbags

Yeah I was talking moreso with just the bumper+spare, like hell you'll ever find me camping! (or risk carrying that many tools around, though I wouldn't mind it)
Thanks friend, very helpful

After running the black tokico LC shocks with my 891’s I can unequivocally say that these shocks are worlds better than the Tundra 5100 for my setup. They ride really well, take bumps well, and most importantly keep the back end under control and reduced body roll a ton.

48531-69417 is the p/n, correct? Might have to take a look into these since the LC/4th gen Billies (and most of their other products) are on back order currently and have been for months. Sounds like the very similarly valved, if not progressive, which would be nice
