Corrosion in the IAC

I have had a problem with my 96 3.4l loss of power and check engine light coming on and staying on.
I took apart the MAF sensor, cleaned it and the throttle body and took the IAC off and cleaned this as well. On the IAC though the coolant side has corrosion in this and it has erroded one of the sides of the gasket wall on both the IAC and the throttle body.

I have two questions.
Can I rebuild this with JB weld and make a gasket to fit or try and find a used throttle body on ebay and install this?
Also given that this corrosion is here am i on the road to a strawberry milkshake?
thanks!

Greetings. We're visual folks here, some photos of the corrosion may help.

But to help ya out, your 96 has had a good life...we need a bit more info about this vehicle. Maintenance? When was the last coolant swap? For starters..what does your coolant look like?

A lot of things could be your problem....let's try to pinpoint the root cause before we start throwing parts at it

Thanks for the reply. I have had the truck for 5yrs and it has 199k miles. 2wd so all highway, but the roads in hawaii are worse than many 3rd world countries.

I have never swapped the coolant on the truck. I had a new timing belt and water pump put on a year or so ago, but not sure if they flushed the radiator and added new coolant. Its very clear still and red.

I seem to have fixed the hesitation in the acceleration by cleaning everything, but the IAC is now leaking coolant due to the erosion of the interior. The wall between the gasket and the manifold rotted away. I was covered in grease so I did not take any photos.

I read on another post here that you can bypass the IAC coolant system. It never freezes here so I may do that as a fix instead of replacing the IAC and throttle body.
