Parking Brake transfer cable inside brake drum
My rear pass. brake drum had no bell crank installed when I got it, used. 1998 Limited model. I opened the drum today and found the transfer cable that hooks over the bellcrank end and then leads to the parking brake lever... is snapped.
It's a little plastic/rubber wrapped steel cable about 6-8 inches long, with a hex knob on one end and on the other (missing on mine) a loop that goes over the bellcrank lever.
I can't locate the part number to replace it. Anyone know the number or where to get it?
Thanks

Shipping can be pricey for that little part. Here's one on Ebay

Thanks for the link - I'm checking with a dealership tomorrow to see if it's on-hand or if I'll have to order it.
Next problem ...
I've got both bell cranks rebuilt and attached (minus 1 cable, above)... but the steel wire that went from drivers-side to passenger-side was also snapped. I got a replacement parking brake cable, and have to replace the whole thing.
I've got the cable out from the passenger compartment/lever and fed under the floor, but there's one mount I haven't gotten off - near the rear inner, upper corner of the gas tank. Anyone know how to get that off? I don't want to drop the whole tank if I don't have to, but can't get a very good look at it. Can't find it in the FSM, and can't find anything on how to remove it online.
Pictures/video/someone with experience quite welcome here. I'm contemplating putting some bolt cutters up there, but that's the frustration talking.
Thanks.

This is from when I did my frame swap last year. I pulled the frame and left the e-brake cable attached to the truck at the handle. As I recollect, the cable had a clamp that bolted to that bracket that the air jack is supporting. It is the same bracket the pin holding the gas tank strap goes into. It's just your basic M8 bolt, but it is in a really awkward position. I remember having to fight to reattach it when I put the frame back. I think the bolt is horizontal and parallel to the axle, with the head to the driver's side. You can sort of see the weldnut on the side of the brakcket on the top of the triangular right wall of the bracket (right as you look at the picture). I can't say if you can get to it with the gas tank skid plate there, but I think you don't need to pull the tank itself.
Hope this helps some.

Thanks for the info. Seems to fit what I'm seeing from under it, and I couldn't see a bolt there, so at least now I know where to look.

Turns out that APSZone.com ( https://www.apszone.com/ ) is near where I work, and I was able to get 2 of this part for $13.99 ea, and pick it up to avoid shipping. They were great to work with.
