To add to the cluster info here, '96/97 don't have the PRND2L on the cluster. Makes manual swapping a little nicer So the '98 cluster with manual ODO and PRND2L is a one-year cluster.

Yeah, I wasn't really offering to do it for you. Sorry, but that's above and beyond. I'll help you do it, though. I can't guarantee everything will work, either. Speedo and door/dome light control are main worries. We'll have a better idea once we do the remap.
Due diligence would mean pics of the rear of both clusters, and have you confirm my belief that three of the four connectors on the '97 will plug up to the '99, leaving two empty slots on the '99. Don't power it up that way, just see if the plugs fit.
If you do that, then I'll go to the effort of scanning the '99 diagrams you'll need. '97 I have ready to go.
