Tie rods and ball joints - where to buy??

Hello all, I am helping my son replace the important safety items in the from end of his 97 4runner SR5 with 3" lift and 32" mud tires. We noticed the other day that the right tie rod was a little loose and though it was time to take care of everything. I've been reading through the MANY different posts but can't seem to get a concise opinion on what to get and where. It seems like OEM is the way to go, IF you can find them. Does anyone know where? Or, what parts are interchangeable with the proper droop, etc. that will last. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OEM is the only option for lower ball joints. I wouldn't use non oem parts for the tire rods either because they won't last as long. Camelback is a good place to look for Toyota parts, stateside. Amayma.com is a good place too. The inner tie rods are much cheaper through them, but shipping from Japan can take a while.

Alternatively you can use Partsouq which ships from the UAE but FedEx International takes about 2 days which is BLAZING fast!

I buy from Camelbacktoyota
https://parts.camelbacktoyota.com/pa...iagram=8414250

I just notice the lower ball joint price has gone up. It only shows the 2WD models but it should be the same. I bought it for $86 about 4 years ago from Camelback and it is at 103.

I believe only the UAE, but not 100% sure. I've ordered from them a half dozen times and each time it was from the UAE, also sig required or can leave a signed note for FedEx guy to leave package.

For LBJ I'd go with OEM. But for tie rods I'd be fine with other brands.

I went with a NAPA brand and had absolutely no issues with it on my 97.

OEM is the way to go. More expensive, but worth it to not have to repeatedly replace the same parts prematurely. NAPA parts, as stated above, can be good as far as tie rods go.. but they can also go bad in a hurry. Very minimal risk of that happening with OEM parts.
