I didn't even know you could see the AF as the default OBD2 on a ScanGauge. I had to program it into Xgauge to see it on my Saturn. And my one scanner doesn't show AF in live data.
Are you running in closed loop?

Does the 99 have a wbo2 stock? Those numbers are crazy rich for open loop warm up and idle.

Yeah, scan gauge doesnt change your sensors into a wideband.
Its likely calculating it from the 0-5v the stock o2 sensors produce. Is there a chance its realtime a/f....unlikely.

Narrowband does 0.5v to 1.0v. If it did up too 5v it would be a wide band.

Sounds like the math you are using is wrong... What codes are you using in the Scangauge?
Should be 14.7 +/- a few tenths for normal driving. Full lean when coasting (not sure what the ECU would report) and probably in the 10:1 to 12:1 range when full throttle. Readings when cold aren't really valid (the sensor has to warm up).

I agree, I want 14.7 +/-
what 'temp' is correct for engine, would be safe to say once water temp is 190*, the O2 is at temp?

The sensor shouldn't take more than a minute to get up to operating temp, but the engine will go closed loop sometime after then engine temp is in (or above) the 140*-160*F range. Before that time, it will run a rich map during warm up.
I couldn't get the A/F to work on my '99 CA spec truck. Trans temp does work though...

If your rig is running normal, and seems fine, but you're seeing those numbers on the ScanGauge II, then you didn't get the ScanGauge code programmed right.
My truck runs at 14.6 most of the time, cruising. Get into the go-pedal a little, and it drops to 13. Get into the go-pedal a lot, and it drops to 11.7.
Right after I lift and it starts to coast, it'll sometimes go as lean as 17. But it's right back to 14.6 pretty quick.

VERY possible, so here is my programming...
Name.... A/F
TXD.... 686AF101B4
RXF.... 044145B40000
RXD.... 2808
MTH.... 05BE00800000
I do have a cali emissions dual cat setup, with an o2 plug and wide band and a sticker say'n it's emission-ed for California.
I took pictures on the way home today from work. I set the guage up as follows...
A/F.............*fWT
TPS............LP
in picture I can also make out the rpm speed and odometer...
I do have to apologize, I think I exaggerated my 1st post... it's probably should have read the following...
Quote:
I think I'm running rich... imo avg a/f is 12.5ish..
if I'm light on pedal I'm ......12.2
coasting............................12.5
morning .............................8
I think I'm rich... what is everyone else's A/F?

I could make a table to post up online for everyone I took a bunch of pictures.... from OD 607 to 613... my commute home from work.
here's the start...
[/url]
the start (above pic) is
1350rpm 0MPH 175607od 8.15A/F 121fWT 9TPS CLSD LP
the end is sitting on the driveway
0900rpm 0mph 175613od 12.4A/F 193fWT 9TPS CLSD LP
it never saw an open LP
