Rabbit hole? 5VZ experts...

Where does this hole go?

For orientations sake, this is the front driver's side cylinder head in front of the cam... Behind the front ½ moon. Pulled the ½ moon & a very small piece broke off & conveniently fell into said hole.

Pretty sure it's an oil drain hole. I wouldn't lose sleep about it.

Hell of a spot to put a hole, right? Ha!

If it's gonna happen to someone, it's gonna happen to me. Some chunks broke off, as you can see. I got most of the broken pieces out, b/c they were still attached to silicone on the cylinder head. Just 1 little chunk fell. I guess my #1 concern is it causing an issue w/ the rotating assembly, mainly the crank bearings or something lower end related. I can actually see the little piece of aluminum, but of course I can't get it w/o removing the head. Which seems excessive... After I get this chore finished, I'm changing the oil anyway, so if I can flush it out the pan w/o any issues... That'd be ideal. May even rig up something w/ the shop vac ha!

I'd say it a drain hole also. Were they on that tight they ended up like that trying to remove them? Mine were well lubricated. I just picked mine out by hand.

You could get a small syringe and try and force oil and get it in the pan and drain the oil

is that magnetic? if it is, maybe you can tie a small magnet to a wire or something to get the small chunk that fell into the hole

I'm sure that there is a surgical instrument that has illumination, a grabber clamp, and HD video and is small enough to go down that hole, but you'd have to know a good surgeon...or maybe own a hospital... to borrow one.
If it's plastic or rubber, it'll just get ground up by the mechanism. The only concern is that it might block or partially block a narrow oil passage.
If you could personally examine a clean copy of the head (off of vehicle,) you could ascertain the nature of the passage.

if a shopvac doesn't work, i'd drain your oil and go from there.

Shop Vac good idea. Take it a step further and duct tape a 1/2" or so diameter hose to Vac hose, increases vacuum 10 fold.

You could try a long toothpick like skewer and wrap a small piece of double stick tape to the end, or try to snag it with a Q-tip.
