Out with the old, in with the new(er)
Some might remember my 1999 Desert Dune Metallic SR5, but I ended up selling it because I did the build poorly. I wanted to buy an 01/02 Sport Edition and do it clean and right this time. Luckily I found a well maintained, bone stock 2002 Thundercloud Sport Edition (with leather seats ) in Chattanooga, TN shortly after selling. Why the new account? It's impossible to get a name change, and "TanRunner" didn't seem very applicable to a grey 4Runner, also the name was a pretty bad one. With my "creative" mind and the last name Putt, puttster is the only thing I could think of (I promise I wasn't trying to copy you @ flemster, it just sounded good).
The old build thread: TanRunner's 1999 SR5

Wait, factory grey leather?!
That sounds super amazing, and I am extremely jealous of your find.

I have exact same truck. With leather seats. But I've been stayed factory for all 7 years of what I own it. I'm not too mechanically inclined, nor do I have space/ability/tools/skills to do anything but regular maintenance... ((
I feel that I will enjoy and drool over the next few pages of this thread...

Over the sport cloth? You're crazy! Lol. Different strokes for different folks.
Love the rig. They hit the nail on the head with that Thundercloud.

Leather Seats
I guess I'll post some pictures of these grey leather seats. They may not seem like much, but they're a BIG upgrade from the tan clothies in my opinion.

Next "Mod"
Next thing I did was dropping those running boards. Easy 6 bolts for each one.

Did you put those badges on the side or were they there when you bought it?

The guy I bought it from put those on there after the original sport badges were in terrible condition. I'm still in the process of finding the badges.
