You forgot: easier to keep maximum up-travel with, etc. ;)

looks like we're going to be in the $130 range (plus shipping) if I can get 10 or more folks onboard.
does that work for you guys?
this will be for the big rear mount cross member and the 2 front mounts. these will be prototypes, but I'm pretty confident on the design (I've checked full flex clearance on the front mounts with a PCK, even!)
for install on trucks without a BL you'll need to clearance the support rib above the tank (which is more than an inch tall, so you'll still have some vertical sides to the rib)
you'll need to cut out the spare tire crossmember also. (duh.)
- let me know, and I'll pull the trigger on it.

keep in mind that unlike Assburns, I'm working with a one inch BL (both for tank mounting and for flat belly in the future):

When the quote comes back I'll let you guys know the pricing, and if there is interest we'll get some of these made!

@octanejunkie
@Tyler_James_Inc
- and I'm pretty sure my mention tags are screwed up... :|

I'd love to see a pic or sketch of the kit and an equipment list with recommended sources to aquire said parts.
I'm not gonna do a body lift so I'm good with cutting shit out to make it fit.
Then I need
@ AssBurns
rear bumper plans!

I'm so tempted, but I'm going to force myself to hold off for several reasons.
I know this is to SWAP tanks, not to have an AUX tank. I would want to have an AUX tank and then just flip a switch to transfer fuel from it to the main tank. Has anyone come across that setup and how they did it? Two main questions would be how to fill the second tank and how to run the line into the main tank...
Overall, I think I'm done trying to get things to Alaska. It's not worth me throwing temper tantrums every time I try. LOL
To the two guys who did this on here... Great job!! Threads like this makes projects so tempting to do!

Photos of the front mounts and a sample portion of the rear crossmember that shows how it accommodates the factory Ford tank straps are shown in here.
If there is enough interest to get these mounts made, I'll continue to look into the filler neck and wiring solutions to make a more complete DIY 'install kit.'
FWIW, I'm using the Spectra F1G that I got on Amazon in my truck.. (I haven't ordered the pump/sender yet because I'm still investigating solutions to the stock fuel gauge issue - I'm determined to use the factory gauge.)

Just to clarify; this isn't an 'install' kit (it's possible that it will be in the future) - it is a mounting kit: 2 front weld in brackets and a rear cross member that will allow you to mount a Ford tank between the frame rails and under the floor in the rear of the 3rd Gen 4Runner.
It doesn't prohibit using the Ford tank as an aux tank, and it doesn't require removal of the factory tank; it's simply a mounting solution for a Ford rear tank.

I'm in and would love to see/develop an option as a second, aux tank, using an in-tank fuel pump as a manual transfer pump, with separate gauge
