3RZ price?

Going to part out my son's 1996 3rz 4runner and want to sell the engine first. Supposedly has 150k-ish miles on it, but that was the PO talking.

Runs great, just not sure what to ask for it in the PNW. Maybe it is worth more to someone wanting to do a swap.

Ideas for pricing complete with ECU?

$1000ish with that mileage. Japanese import places sell them for $1700 with low miles though.

Anything cool thats aftermarket? I'm close enough if there is. I'm doing a turbo build on mine.

Man, I'd take the whole truck if you were close. I need a back up motor.

The 3RZ swap is getting super popular replacing 22R's & 3.0's.

Do you think it is a good idea to not part until the engine sells? My thought was that there is value in being able to start and drive it.

Then I will move on to other things. Need cash to build his replacement up - it was not a good plan for me to flop his vehicle that he was taking with him when he enlists in the Air Force.

Good god, 3RZs with 150k are going for $1000? I had no idea they were that popular.

3rzs typically go for around 2x what a similar 3.4 does, around here at least.

Shoot me a text man, I lost your number, we are looking to buy an engine soon, but I kind of have an idea.
