Thanks for the input!
TYC are the best aftermarket headlights for our trucks & they are glass.

I have them paired with GE Nighthawk Sport Bulbs. I paid $16 when on sale & they are excellent.

I plucked mine from the wrecking yard and they were aimed perfectly when I installed them – so I can't rightly say one way or the other.

Here are my LED headlamps - very pleased.

https://blacktop.racing/gtr-lighting...rd-generation/

The foglamps are the original halogens, and they will soon be replaced by LEDs, as will all the other lamps on the vehicle.

I just installed some PIAA 10704 H4 Night Techs (here on Amazon), and they are perfect for what I'm wanting. They are very bright, supposedly long lasting, and most importantly, NOT BLUE.

There is also a note in the FAQ's that they shouldn't be used on vehicles which use the headlight as a DRL unless the DRL functionality is removed. Between the lack of ability to flash the high beams, and the loss of DRL, I'm going to say these are a hard pass for me.

had PIAA extreme on my last 4runner and they were much better than most I had tried. My new to me 4runner has some worthless junk that is about as bright as a fashlight. Well actually I own some flashlights that are prob brighter.
Very disaappointed in the LED's on my dodge truck.
Prob just get some piaa again and then a good set of auxillary lights ( called moose lights up here)

Hi, do you have an update as to the bulbs longevity?
Thanks!

If halogen is the choice I like Osram Night Breaker Laser Headlights. I just replaced the pair I originally put in 05/2018.

Here is my post with a couple pictures.

Do you get people flashing you thinking you have hi-beams on with these?

My 2000 has some basic (knowing the previous owner, the cheapest available) bulbs, so I picked up a pair for $25 - can't see how I can go too wrong - thanks for the tip.

I got these 2.5 years ago, they are still going strong. I have given consideration though to swapping these over to my Tacoma (the bulbs are terrible) and getting new bulbs for my 4Runner. That link is out-of-date though, looks like PIAA doesn't sell that particular bulb anymore. The closest thing they sell is P/N 23-10104 - which is 3900K instead of 3600K (though after having my 3600K bulbs for a couple of years I definitely think I could've gone more white, I just hate anything that looks "blue" and my current bulbs are far from that).

I have not had any issues with people flashing their high beams at me so I believe I aimed them appropriately when I first got my 4runner and put in the new bulbs.

I put those in quite a while back, and I just realized I had not changed a headlight bulb in forever. I looked up my maintenance log, and they were installed September 12, 2014, about 80k miles ago. Is that long lasting enough? They are the brightest incandescents I have ever had in my rig, and I tried a few before these. I would definitely get them again.
