Superchargers on sale!!!
Got an email saying that prices are marked down which included aftermarket parts from Toyota of Dallas! You can view it here:
https://parts.toyotaofdallas.com/man...er-name-brand/
The superchargers are under Magnussen. You'll notice pretty much everything else is on sale too, and if you use the promo code "cruiser" this is what it'll cost you:
MAGNUSON Toyota 3.4L V6 Supercharger System
Part #01-62-34-003-BL
Subtotal $2,956.07
Promo discount -$147.80
Shipping $0.00
Total $2,808.27
These rarely go on sale, so wanted to share. Why wait for Black Friday?

They are not "TRD" superchargers, but all they did was take the logo off. TRD stopped making them but Magnussen (the manufacturer) decided to market it themselves so they went back into production.
Still 50-state smog legal, all that good stuff.

It is quite fiscally scary when the S/C can be worth more now than the 4runner itself.

Right! I like the $800 build threads that pop up, $3k for a charger and you still need/want more supporting mods

Lol, yeah those are pretty funny. Out here in California, a clean, accident-free 4Runner around 200k miles will cost about $4500-$5000.

Its also insane the small power gain you get from a $3000 super charger. You could fit a turbo and make more power for less.

FYI, you can always get this discount year round through URD.
Now, what's worth waiting for is the $400 discount during black friday (at they had it last year).
EDiT: the code no longer works

Good info, thanks for sharing! Will be tempting when that time of year rolls around, if they do the same promo.

this reminds me of the toyota matrix turbo thread.
everybody wanted a turbo kit for the 1.8 matrix and when it was finally out, its was $2,500+
and no body purchased it.

It looks like the code that's been around for a long time no longer works. It used to be "ForumMember" but it doesn't work for me as of today. It's been in my cart for the last year so I know it was working earlier this year.

It's fairly cheap compared to the supercharger systems for other Toyotas like the Tundra or Tacomas though. Some of those are pushing $6000 or more. But I get that a home made turbo kit can be done for much less.
I like the supercharger because of the torque it gives at low RPM's. It's very handy for towing and just every day driving.

I agree those kits are way more expensive and I am not a fan of those kits that much either.
A small turbo can give full boost at 2-3k rpms on a v6. And gives you more tq and power overall. Its why diesels use turbos and not superchargers for towing.

Not to mention the pure simplicity of the installation.
