fuel line connection

i have to drop the tank. is there a special tool needed to disconnect the line going towards the filter? i see it has a red clip, but i don't want to pull on it if something needs to go into it to spread it to release.

The HF sells the tool to remove it.

When I dropped my gas tank, I bought this tool & this tool from amazon. Once I got under there to examine the fuel lines a little closer I realized I didn't need the tool and just used a flat head screw driver. Here's a youtube video that shows a similar method that I used. Skip ahead to 1min 3sec. I ended up returning the special tools.
