Upgrading Fuel Injectors (sort of).

Hi guys, hope everyone is doing well.

I recently developed a p0171 code, and my engine is running very rough at low RPMs. I took it to a reputable mechanic who said that it's running lean. I have a leak in my gen 1 s/c bypass elbow that will be addressed. Aside from that, I have the 7th injector from URD installed as well. Mechanic recommended 15 cc larger fuel injectors.

Went to a pick your part and picked up 6 injectors from a 99 sienna by his recommendation. Part # 23250-20010. These are slightly larger injectors that should fit.

My questions are:

Is this a plug/play?
If not, do I need to upgrade my fuel pump for a measly 15cc?
Do I need to retune for the larger injectors?
Should I just retune the 7th injector to account for the lack of fuel at low rpms?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Fix your vacuum leak. That will solve the lean issues at low RPM.

1. hard time beleving he is reputable.

2. Fix this now. whay are you even still leaving this unatended?

3. this makes me doubt the reputable mechanic even more. he is shadetree at most. you have a 7th injector adding more fuel to the motor.

1: SoCal 4Runner Shop Thread

If that's not reputable, I don't know what is.

2. I had to evacuate my family from the fires in California. Some things have to wait.

3. SoCal 4Runner Shop Thread

The 7th injector is tuned to add fuel when the throttle is wide open not at low rpms/idle.
