Is that a scratch on the left rear flare? So much tire shine too, must be hiding something expensive to repair. My offer is now $499.99,not a cent more, and consider yourself lucky I'm still feeding you as part of the deal.

Congrats on the new purchase, Scramble. It'll be interesting to hear what you think about the V6/auto coming from a 4Cyl/5spd.
Watch out, because once you have two it can become a slippery slope. I maxed out at three 3rd gens in the driveway before I got my problem under control.

Man, now I want another runner. Or a taco, or a LC. It's slim pickings around here for the last few months. I'm still looking though. lol
Congrats on the new rig and I hope it treats you as well as the old rig.

So this one will be just for commutes? Or will this turn into your rig with your other taking a back seat?

Thanks, she is pretty clean! She has a lot more little dings than the pics show. Little nickle & quarter sized ones on both sides & hatch & they dont look like door dings from a parking lot, they're too high. Maybe they had kids playing in the driveway? Damn rugrats! LOL The interior is spotless, rugs are clean. A few scratches here & there. Make's me appreciate the excellent condition I've kept the Metallica truck in. I have one ding & no scratches on mine except pinstripes from tree branches that will buff out from the clearcoat. Drivers side front leather seat has the usual rip but it's still small. The lumbar support is still comfy. PS front has some dryness from the sun & age wrinkles. Back seats are mint. I had a bunch of Caddy's growing up so I know how to recondition the leather.
Yea, this will be for commutes. I started losing the battle with rust on mine. I poked a hole in the frame when I was wire wheeling it for the rust converter paint. It's tiny & only in one spot but I want to cut it out before it gets worse. I also need to pull the windshield & address the rust in there. But no, my baby will never take a backseat to an Auto trans!
All of my local off road groups have most of their trips April - July & it always seems I'm working on it as soon as it gets warm out & miss out. This year I plan on more wheelin' & less modding. I think I'll start my rust repairs on the old rig after July & just enjoy the rig I built. Now I have the garage for it & will keep it out of the rain & salt until it's totally rust proof.

How can I pass up a deal like this? Surf & Turf? I haven't had a filet mignon & a lobster tail in too long of a time!
Are drinks included?

Thanks, LOL I know what you mean. I was looking GX's, Sequoia's, LC's & 4th gens. I have no need for a truck but I did look at 05-07 Tundra's. I couldn't fight off the itch for another rig this time, especially after poking a little hole in my frame. I was mostly looking on CarGurus but found this pretty much by accident on Cars.com when I decided to look at 3rd gens for the hell of it. You should check it out. I found it last night & bought it today, it was destiny! Plus I paid cash where as the others mentioned above would have been financed & I still have a year & a half to go on my Accord loan.

LOL Thanks BigFish! I dont think I found "the one" but I found a good "one".
The "one" for me would be a 99-00 highlander S/C, e-locked, 5speed. A rare beast indeed.
I actually narrowed my search down to a 05-09 4th gen V8 sport, they really are a good looking rigs with a small lift & more aggressive tires. I'll post a pic below of the one I was thinking about buying. That's why I was lurking in your 4th gen build. I was going to steal your "snot nose kid" mod for my "drooling dog" mod LOL But I found this 99 online last night & pulled the trigger today. Rare 3rd gens get the heart pumping!
I don't have much seat time in the V6, this was my 3rd time driving one.
Two years ago we were searching for a 3rd gen for my GF & never found anything great. I test drove 2 & coming from a 3rz they don't feel under powered to me at all! LOL In AWD with the ETC on they powered right up the hills I was driving on. My last 3 DD's have been A/T's. 01 Corolla, 01 Accord Coupe & now an 09 Accord Coupe, they're great in traffic but not as fun to drive. But I will get back to you on it.

The rust is minimal! I fingered all of it's frame holes because I'm a 4Runner perv! It spent most of it's life in Tenn. The Carfax on it might be the best I've ever seen. One owner, no accidents, 6 pages of Toyota dealer service records. Started out in CT for 3 years, then TN for 15 & traded in back in CT.

LMAO! Right on the nose! He was asking $5999, I offered $5k & met me in the middle. Anything over $5500 I would have walked.
