Silver or body color Limited flares on white 4Runner?
My silver Limited flares need to be repainted, and I've been pondering painting them body color (white) instead of silver.
I wasn't sure how to handle the small slivers in front of the front bumper and behind the rear bumper, I thought it might look goofy - but then I found this truck, and I think it looks pretty good (the one on top, mine is below).
I'm also thinking blacking out the wheels and the running boards.
So realizing that this is subjective, would you say silver or white?

Personally, I prefer the Silver.

I prefer silver. I am putting some old black ones on my beige 4runner and I prefer the look of silver, but then scratches will show through as black, plus the rubber trim on the flares will be black which will look goofy with silver flare-black rubber-beige truck.
But that white-on-white doesn't look too bad. Just consider if you scratch them, they will be silver underneath.
So I think I will just repaint them black.

Silver. Although black flares with black wheels would look kickass, too.

Silver...color matched limited cladding/flares don't look right. It would look fine on sport flares though.

Eh I have to disagree if the body color is black. My flares are a dark grey/charcoal color although I've thought about repainting them black like the body as they need it...

All white looks real funky/resprayed to me.
Silver on white looks super clean
That said, I also think painting your wheels black would not look good.
Good thing we don't all like the same thing though. A forum full of matching 4Runners would be real boring

*All* white like the later Limiteds looks good (though not 'tough'):
If you have the chrome bumpers, I'd stick with a contrasting color.

I'm going to buck the trend and say white on white. Love that look. Especially when built up a bit.

White. I have the Desert Dune Sand and I don't like the contrasting silver. The uniform colors look better IMHO. Also, I think it will look a lot better with the running boards gone.

White on White looks killer in my opinion. The all white Limited models (like what was just posted) might be my favorite color combo

I can't say as I've seen white on white and while I like the contrast of the silver, it would be nice to have something a bit different. I like the all white.
