Remote on wire

So I've done tons of looking around on this and ill break down my current scenario.

I was installing my new to me amp and sub got all the wires routed, but when i got to the back of my kenwood stereo, I forgot that i had cut the remote on wire for what ever reason and only have a little nub so no way of getting the remote on wire in.

I have looked into the possibility of splicing it into a wire that is connected with the ACC, but don't wanna deal with all of that.

Was curious if anyone could shed some light on how to unlock the connector to the back of the stere so i can remove the little bit of wire and make a solid connection and be able to slide it back into the correct hole and keep a clean look.

You should be able to stick in a pick tool or small screwdriver and pop out the wire from the harness.
When I installed my stereo for whatever reason my remote on didn’t work. I just put it with the power turn on. For your amp it will need to power on every time or your sub won’t turn on anyways. Mine is a 5 channel amp meaning no sound at all if the amp doesn’t power
The real kick in the pants for me is that now my power antenna doesn’t go up anymore. Going to do a taco antenna to take care of that.

Actually I bit the bullet and got a wire tap clip after class and just stuck it to the red power wire that goes to my radio.
