Just stopped in to check on progress. Truck is looking great. Always enjoy seeing your photos too.

Curious, what rear coils are you running? 890's? I need more low.

Thank you sir, Appreciate that
Rear coils are 891s, had some rough country or the like in there and was the right height but way soft. Love the 891s before and with the swingout it seems to ride just right.

Finally got my front sway disconnect finished up. Version 3 works much better and has no play whatsoever. 3d printing a dust cover for the exposed threads and calling it good

Interested in the removable links. How do they work? I wanna make my own.
Side note try ASA for the printed hubs it’s strong and color stays good in the sun.

Thanks for the tip, what are the temps for ASA? The little printer i have is only able to run like 205 or 210 tops.

As for the quick disconnect, all the parts aside from the factory link were bought at home depot for a couple bucks.
This quote is from my second set that were the first of this type. Newest are the same concept just refined a bit.

“When the nut is spun down(red) its disconnected, when up(green) its connected and butting it up to the upper nut really stiffens it and it can be tightened with a wrench if needbe.

ASA needs to be at 220-245
Guess that wouldent work on ur printer.
Your best choice will probably be PETG then. High heat tolerance than PLA.

Awesome! I think I am going to make a version of links for mine

Good to know, dont think this printer is worth upgrading the hot end so maybe i can give the PETG a try for now. Thanks again

Nice! I know a lot of people dont think you need a front sway but i prefer the road manners with one on the street. Too loose without

Welp back at it, brother in law was in town and wanted to go out and ride a few trails so i needed to get the bike rack on. Forgot that it wouldnt fit with the spare on so temporarily took the spare off but now i need to either extend this rack or figure out another.

Joelzy's 96 5SPD(daily) & 5VZ block-up rebuild

No progress on the bike rack but received a fuelpax for xmas(wife doesn’t love the gascan being inside although sealed) and started looking at how i want to mount it.
Dont love it mounted to the spare and would have to build onto the swingout to add it so i would rather hide it where the spare used to be.

Plan is to notch or replace the spare tire crossbeam and make room as well as mounting for the gascan and onboard air tucked up under the backend.

Thought about centered but want the air too so it will probably be rotated 90 and tucked up against the driver framerail. The air tank and comp can go on the other side and be boxed in a little to keep it clean and dry as well as off the exhaust.

One more for the click

Bit the bullet and got the weathertech liners and they do not disappoint.
The fit and finish are pretty damn legit

Weathertech mats are a game-changer. I have the moulded Husky ones (they were in the truck when I purchased it) and they are not near as good IMO.

Stoked to see how you rig up that jerry can.

I went with the tan color to hide the dirt - turns out the dirt is darker and you can see it anyway.

Just started reading this thread two days ago, and finally finished. All I got to say is awesome job, you've inspired some ideas for me. I really like the front bumper and skid combo you've got going, and I'm liking the progress with the disconnect sway bars, might have to figure out how I want to do something similar on my rig.

See i got really close to buying the husky mats but cancelled the order and went with Weathertech on a whim. so far so good

Need to run to the metal supermarket before diving in but the good thing is that my other car is now here and(after a rigorous rebuild) running great so i can have the runner down as long as this new stuff needs.

Did you get my DM btw?

Glad to hear someone appreciates all my blathering. I liked the skid setup but i think its about time to pull it off and build something new with a winch incorporated... at least thats the plan currently. Getting a bonus for being at my job for 2 years and promised myself that half could go into my cars before the babies take the rest.So im hoping to build out my onboard air and a winch setup plus tires for the other car.
