King Coilovers
I have a 2002 toyota 4Runner and am thinking about putting a mild lift on it. I have done some research and have found that KING makes a coilover that gives 2" of lift. Has anyone on here ever tried the KING coilovers and if so are they worth the expense. My 4runner is a daily driver that does not see much off roading. Recently I put a size bigger tire on and on left turns I have some tire rub so wanting to lift the suspension to stop the rubbing.

The ride will be night and day but it is complete overkill if you don't do much offroading...btw you posted in the wrong section according to your post/signature.

I have King coilovers. I upgraded from stock suspension that was on my 2002. I like them a lot. They can be adjusted to provide 0-3" of lift. But, lifting your vehicle will not stop the rubbing you mentioned. Rubbing is not really a height issue as much as a range of motion issue.
Rubbing issues can be addressed one of, or a combination of ways. Wheels that have different back spacing from stock can bring the wheel further out, (also won't solve rubbing). Alignment. This can be the most useful way to solve rubbing. Stock upper control arms only allow for a limited adjustment in this regard. A aftermarket UCAS like SPC Light Racing can provide more usable adjustability.
Body lifts are an easy geometry Band-Aid. Body lifts can raise the body away from the frame gaining some clearance. This will give you a gap between bumper and body.
Most people deal with minor rubbing issues by hammering back the firewall and trimming the wheel well liner.
But checking the lift FAQ link posted above will have all your information you are looking for.

Where exactly are you rubbing?
I think KING would be an excellent choice, and hope to go KING in the future on my '01.

I have King w/ 600 coils no reservoir and like them very much. Yes about 2" of lift and ride is great. I also have a 1" BL.
I have found that getting to 2.5" is not as easy on the 600 coils without cranking down on them more than I would prefer, but 2" is easy enough.
If I were to do it again I would get the 650 Coils and put less turns on them. Do NOT get the 700 coils. Don't do it.
I also suggest you do a search for King. Use the search sticky in my signature. There are lots of threads on King coils. Read up on them. Lastly I suggest if you have any Qs call King sales/support directly. Talk to them. Don't just count on the advice of a VAR when you can talk with the vendor sales directly and at no charge.
BTW if you can get a pair now for < $1,100 do it because I heard through the grapevine that prices are going up at least $250 across the entire King line as of Q2 this year. The new inventory from factory will carry a higher list price.

You may still rub with a lift. I suggest you search and then comment in one of the "why are my tires rubbing?" threads to get a better idea on whats happening. Lots of things can create a tire rubbing situation. Wheel backspacing + tire size is one of the top causes.

Most companies have already adjusted to the new (including us) pricing of $1234.05. Puts King coilover pricing over Icon pricing now.

I paid about $1,150 tax and installed for mine last year. Seems like a good deal looking back.

King is way overboard if you don’t off-road... Bilstein shocks are more than adequate for the price. I feel stupid for even posting this...

Check out RadFlo shocks for a much more affordable alternative to the Kings.

Bilstien (Tundra model) adjustables in the front with OEM Tundra coils and in the rear LC OEM shocks and springs. Lots of threads on it here and its a great more affordable way to go.

I read somewhere in a post that the KING COILOVERS have to be rebuilt every 25K miles is there any truth to that?

Most shock companies recommend every 30k miles or so. A rebuild kit is around $30 and is a pretty quick job.

That's like saying "an infinity is way overboard for a DD... a Civic is more than adequate for the price."
Uh, well yeah. That doesn't mean that the Infinity wouldn't be an even more fun and comfortable car to drive.
If you got the budget for it, why not buy something "nicer"? I live by the saying "anything that's worth doing is worth overdoing"

Sounds about like why Americans have so much debt...

I certainly see your point. However, one could make the case that new 99 tall OEM suspension would be more comfortable, reliable, and practical for an around-town daily driver.
