Thread Revival and question
Hi, sorry to revive a dead thread. I'm looking at the URD Supercharger kit with 7th injector. My 4Runner is a 2000, which I don't see listed on the above referenced Executive Order. Will I run into issues? Will that Sticker file work for me if I get it printed? I'm a recent transplant to Sacramento. Appreciate any input!

S/C's have been out of production for almost 20-years and have long been discontinued. As far as getting busted with a fake sticker, there is no discernible difference between original stickers and reproductions. Unlike my AirRaid sticker which is foil, multi-colored and stamped, the S/C sticker is really a simple, basic, generic vinyl sticker Toyota put almost zero thought into. Also, if you read the E/O you'll see that it covers a broad range of vehicles and isn't narrowly written. Toyota put as little effort as possible into getting the E/O filed. Lastly, who is going to bust you for a fake sticker? Smog testers will fail your car if they think anything looks out of place and will tell you to fix it. If you're already going to a smog ref, you wouldn't need a sticker (sticker only solves the archaic rules smog techs are governed by). If a cop pulls you over in your 220 HP 20-year old 4Runner, I highly doubt he's going to be blown away by your top speed of 97 mph and ask you to open up your hood and see what illegal engine mods you have going on. And, assuming you encounter such a police officer, they wouldn't be able to visually tell the difference between a real and fake sticker. So, even if said police officer suspected you had a fake sticker they'd have to send it into the local crime lab and run tests comparing materials of the real sticker vs. fake to prove it was in fact a fake sticker... I'll buy anyone a beer who was busted with a fake S/C sticker just to hear whatever convoluted story they had how/why they were caught. It's gotta be an absolutely amazing story we need to share with the board. |

This is the way smog shops work. They have every make and model of car coming into their facilities for testing. Not just every make and model - every make and model since 1976. Then, there's an insanely large catalogue of legal aftermarket parts they have to check and validate. It's an impossible task to get right every time and they have to use their best judgement when visually inspecting your vehicle. Your 7th injector will probably pass a visual because the E/O references it. They probably won't pull out a mirror and read that you have a URD 7th injector instead of a dealer installed one. Print out the E/O and point to it if they start questioning you about it. If they still won't sign off on it, take it to another more lenient smog shop. Hopefully your URD 7th injector ECU is installed in the glove box and not the engine bay. |
More Stickers? Testing Waters For Another Print Run
Hey Everyone - I've been running around all summer distracted by life and have been away from my inbox. Apologies for the late replies. I had a number of people requesting stickers - I've long since run out.
I just wanted to do a quick check if people still want/need stickers. I could be tempted to do another print run if demand is there. PM / respond to this thread by Friday, September 20, 2019 if you are interested. If I have 5 or more people, I'll do it. It'll be $12 a sticker shipped. |
I'm in. Put me down for 2 please.

They sell them on eBay for $9
My cousin just got one. But now I am going to need one. How much are you thinking of selling one for. ?? |

Hey everyone - I'm headed down to the printers today am going to do another run. Turnaround is typically a day or two. More details to come. There's been a ton of interest and my inbox is a bit busy right now. I may need to reach out to each of you and reconfirm how many you need.
