E-Locker Retrofit in 2001 Limited

I have had this conversion done for about 2 years. Its been rock solid, but 1 thing that always bugged me, was the lack of a safety override for the locker.

I have hit the switch at 70 mph once, luckily no catastrophic failure as I was off the gas and coasting.... I meant to hit the seat heater switch, my OEM locker button is just below that...

Anyway. My question is related to the Grey Wire mod. Right now, both grey wires are just shorted to ground.

Can I use the Parking Brake signal to the grey wire to add in a safety? I don't want to risk my wife hitting the button the 1 time a year she ends up needing to borrow my rig,...

Depending on how you retro fit locker this link might help. Blue wire mod only keeps the speed safety
Green/orange wire mod eliminates speed safety.

Maybe install a missile switch cover? That way it really has to be intentional. I've never been an electrical guy so that'd be my lazy approach!

Had thought that but then someone gotta see what happens. Lol

Put a rear locker axle in my 01 said ta hell with 4wd computer. My safety is the landcruiser dual locker switch
no way to accidental on can control both lockers one switch. OE Trac Off switch for Andy mod in slot next to it below heater switches.

my first elocker was a retro fit so I did not have a computer...just wired direct....so in reading above, I guess I could have had an issue with turning it on at speed, because it would not have had that speed safety.

current rig is factory elocker, so did the wire mod...so I guess it has the speed safety

so I guess if I was rerofitting one now, and not using factory computers, I would make it obvious different rocker and one that is away from others.
or use the factory locker switch , that is a button you have to push down

Locking in the rear isn’t going to cause a catastrophic failure or crazy handling problems. Plenty of modified vehicles driving on the highways with spools or Lincoln lockers.
